A life in God, shaped by prayer and charity

SPIRITUALITY

A simple, evangelical and Cordimarian spirituality lived in everyday life.

The spirituality of the Missionary Daughters of the Heart of Mary springs from a very concrete experience: to keep our gaze fixed on Jesus Christ, to live in union with God, and to serve others with humility, simplicity and charity.

In the life and teachings of Mother María Güell we discover a deeply Gospel-centered path: a trusting prayer, a carefully nurtured interior life, and a concrete dedication to the poor, the sick and those in need.

This is not a spirituality separated from daily life, but a way of living each day with the heart rooted in God, attentive to His will and available for the good of others.

KEY FEATURES OF THIS SPIRITUALITY

Christ-centered

Everything begins with Jesus: to know Him, love Him and follow Him faithfully in daily life.

Prayerful and Trusting

It is nourished by prayer, silence and a filial trust in God throughout the day.

Apostolic and charitable

Prayer becomes service. Loving God leads us to serve others.

A PATH FOR EVERYDAY LIFE

Mother Maria Güell lived a spirituality deeply rooted in everyday life For her, prayer was not something separate, but a way of living, working, suffering, serving and loving.

This spirituality invites us to:

  • live in God’s presence,
  • do small things well,
  • keep inner silence,
  • seek God’s will in each moment,
  • and serve others in concrete ways.

It is a spirituality that unites interior life and mission, contemplation and service.

IN THE LIGHT OF MARY’S HEART

This spirituality is also lived in the light of the Virgin Mary’s example, model of humility, simplicity, listening and fidelity.

In her Heart, we learn to welcome the Word, to reflect on it and to live it. The Cordimarian spirituality is therefore a concrete way of living the Gospel with a humble and loving heart.
